There's something about the French!  No doubt about it...

I say that in the nicest possible way and when I had the pleasure to photograph Berenice Bejo and Jean Dujardin the other week they came across as representatives for everything I love about the French.

Berenice was a dark haired beauty.  She was sexy and elegant.  And.... would you believe it looking at these pictures, she gave birth to a baby only 3 weeks before this shoot.

 Berenice and Jean are relatively well known in France but have not really made it big on the international screens.  This is however about to change.

A big hit at the film festivals, The Artist is about to hit the UK screens.  But will it be equally popular amongst the cinema going audience still remains to be seen.

The issue whether it will be a big film is not that the main actor and actress is French, but more that the film is a silent, Black & White film.  Yes - all this time trying to perfect the imagery and sound and then they go and spring a Black & White silent film on us.

And it's not even in 3D!?

I hope it will be a success just due to the charm of the main actors and as I would love to see a good old silent film make it big again.  I have however not yet seen the film but I will most definitely go and see it, popcorn and all...
